Appeal following fatal road crash on the A92, Rathillet, Fife

An 87-year-old man has died following a crash involving two cars on the A92, north of Rathillet in Fife.

The collision took place around 10.40am on Saturday, 14 March, 2026 and involved a red Dacia Sandero and a blue Vauxhall Astra.

The male driver of the Dacia was taken to Ninewells Hospital, where he later died.

An 88 year-old woman who was a passenger in the Dacia, the 32-year-old male driver of the Vauxhall and his two passengers aged seven and 13, were taken to Ninewells Hospital.

The road reopened around 3pm.

Sergeant Grant Hastie said: "Our enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding this crash.

"We are keen to speak to any witnesses to the crash or anyone who may have dashcam from the area around the time."
