Appeal following assault in Gorebridge

Officers are appealing for information after an assault in Gorebridge.

The incident happened around 9.35pm on Friday, 20 March, 2026, outside a premises in Hunter Square.

A 55-year-old man was approached and assaulted by a young male. The man attended hospital for treatment.

Detective Constable Jack Wall said: “This was an unprovoked attack, and we are keen to trace the person responsible.

“We know that the area was busy at the time of the assault, and we’d ask anyone who has yet to speak to officers, or has any information, to come forward.”
