Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a one-vehicle crash on the M8 in Glasgow.

Around 7.15pm, on Wednesday, 17 June, 2026, a grey Skoda Octavia travelling on the westbound carriageway of the M8 appeared to lose control and crashed into the barrier between Junction 24 off-slip and Junction 24 on-slip.

Emergency services attended and the 21-year-old male driver and two female passengers, both aged 22, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. A 26-year-old male passenger was assessed at the scene.

Sergeant Chris McColm said: “Our enquiries into the collision are ongoing and I am appealing to motorists who were driving on the M8 around the time of the incident to contact us with any information. If you have dash cam equipment, please pass on your footage as it could assist us in our enquiries.”
