Two people arrested and charged following £100,000 drugs recovery on A9

Two people have been arrested and charged following a drugs recovery on the A9 near Crubenmore.

Around 12.55pm on Friday, 27 February, 2026, road policing officers stopped a car and carried out a search.

A quantity of cocaine with an estimated street value of £100,000 was seized, as well as a three-figure sum of cash.

A 43-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman are due to appear in court at a later date.

Sergeant Calum MacAulay said: “We are determined to protect the public from this harmful criminality by disrupting the sale of illegal substances, preventing them being circulated on our streets and addressing the concerns of local people.

"Drugs cause misery in our communities and action like this is only possible through the continued support of the public.

“Information from the public is vital to our work and we urge anyone with information or concerns about drugs to contact us via 101 or make a call to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
