Two men have been jailed for drugs offences in Clydebank.

Around 1.50am on Friday, 1 May, 2020, a large-scale cannabis cultivation was discovered within an industrial unit on Glasgow Road. Officers recovered 500 plants with an estimated value of £300,000.

Nerjan Ibro (left), 37, and Taulant Dragot (right), 35, pleaded guilty to being concerned in the production of cannabis at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 14 January, 2026. Ibro was sentenced to 28 months and Dragot 30 months in prison at the same court on Wednesday, 11 February, 2026.

Detective Inspector Michael Lochrie said: “The conviction and sentencing of Ibro and Dragot underlines our commitment to tackling drugs in our communities. I hope this sends a clear message to anyone involved in the supply and distribution of illegal substances that taking drugs off our streets is a priority for Police Scotland.

“Information from the public is vital. I encourage anyone with concerns or details about drugs in their area to report it to us and we will fully investigate.”
