Around 4.15pm on Tuesday, 24 February, 2026, response policing officers on patrol as part of the Renfrewshire Road Safety Initiative stopped a vehicle on Limecraigs Avenue.

The driver made off and was traced in a property nearby.

Cannabis with a potential street value of up to £68,000 was discovered within.

He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 25 February, 2026.

Inspector Lorna McLaren said: “This is a clear example of how proactive policing makes a difference. We remain committed to tackling criminality and keeping our roads safe.

“We are determined to protect the public from this harmful criminality by disrupting the sale of illegal substances, preventing them being circulated on our streets and addressing the concerns of local people.”
