Four men arrested and charged following drugs recoveries in Renfrewshire

Four men have been arrested and charged following the recovery of cannabis with an estimated street value of up to £318,700.

On the afternoon of Thursday, 12 February, 2026, response, community policing and CID officers executed six warrants in the Renfrew and Paisley areas. During the searches, over a thousand cannabis plants at various stages of maturity were recovered.

The men, aged 40, 37, 31, and 28, are due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Friday, 13 February, 2026.

Inspector Lorna McLaren said: "This was a substantial recovery, and the warrants were executed as a direct result of concerns raised by the local community.

"Cultivations like these often involve dangerous alterations to electricity supplies, which can pose a serious fire risk to the neighbouring properties and put residents and emergency services at risk. This kind of activity is not only illegal, but it can also have very real consequences for the wider community.

"We continue to rely on information from the public, and I would encourage anyone with concerns about drug-related activity in their area to contact Police Scotland on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
