Update following fire: Seatown, Gardenstown

We were made aware of a fire at a property in the Seatown area of Gardenstown around 5am on Thursday, 18 September, 2025.

Human remains were later recovered from the property on Tuesday, 23 September. Formal identification has now taken place and the family of the woman who was within the property have been informed.

One man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Enquiries have been carried out and the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
