Man charged in connection with death of 30-year-old Scott Boyd

The 35-year-old man arrested in connection with the death of Scott Boyd in Kirkmuirhill has been charged.

Around 4.45am on Wednesday, 27 August, 2025, we were called to a report of two men found injured in the Braeside Crescent area.

The 30-year-old man, Scott Boyd, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 35-year-old man was taken to University Hospital Wishaw for treatment but has since been released.

The man is due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 10 September, 2025.
