Body of woman found in river at Foyers near Inverness

Around 6.30pm on Thursday, 4 September, 2025, the body of a woman was found in the River Foyers at Foyers, near Inverness.

Formal identification has yet to take place but the family of Naomi McSorley, 63, reported missing earlier in the day, has been informed.

The death is being treated as unexplained but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
