Woman who died following Dundee incident named

The 37-year-old woman who died following an incident in Byron Street, Dundee, has been named as Natalie Egan.

Around 7.25am on Friday, 31 October, 2025, we received a report of a fire at a property in the Byron Street area. Emergency services attended and the fire was extinguished.

Natalie, who was within the property, was later pronounced dead.

Following a post-mortem examination, her death is being treated as murder and her family is being supported by specially trained officers.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death and is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday, 3 November, 2025.
