Man arrested in Ayr in connection with drug supply

A man has been arrested in connection with drug supply in Ayr.

It follows a police operation on Tuesday, 1 July, 2025, when officers acting under warrant, searched a house in the Lochside area of Ayr.

Class A drugs, worth an estimated street value of £1,000, were seized.

A 47-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the recovery.

He was due to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 2 July 2025.

Detective Sergeant Allan Auld said: “There is no place for drug dealing in our society and I would like to reassure the residents of Ayr that all information relating to criminal activity from the public is constantly reviewed and acted on.”
