Man arrested and charged in connection with serious sexual assault in Johnstone

A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the serious sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl in Johnstone on Sunday, 13 July, 2025.

He is due to appear in court at a later date

Detective Inspector David Hardie said: "We know this incident has caused concern in the local community and I would like to thank members of the public for their support during our enquiries."
