Man who died in crash on A90 named

A 53-year-old man who died following a crash on the A90 has been named as Gyorgy Jaczko.

Around 1pm on Friday, 17 January, 2025, we received a report of a crash involving a HGV and a grey Toyota Rav 4 on the A90, at Auchiries, Peterhead.

Emergency services attended and Mr Gyorgy, the driver of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Mr Jaczko was from the Peterhead area. 

There were no reports of other injuries. 

Sergeant Eoin Maxwell said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Gyorgy at his difficult time and they have asked that their privacy is respected."
