Wilful fireraising on Elmbank Drive, Bonhill, Alexandria

Detectives are appealing for information after a van was set on fire in Bonhill, Alexandria on Wednesday, 3 December, 2025.

Around 4.30am, officers were called to a report of a Ford Tourneo on fire outside a house on Elmbank Drive. There were no reports of anyone injured.

The fire was extinguished by Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, and it is being treated as wilful.

Detective Constable Iain McGill said: "Enquiries are ongoing to establish more details on the circumstances surrounding this wilful fire.

"I would urge anyone with information that may assist our investigation to contact Police Scotland through 101 quoting reference number 0363 of 3 December. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained."
