Ten males identified after image of group in Fife doing offensive gestures circulates on social media

Ten males have now been identified after a photo was circulated on social media of a group doing offensive gestures in front of Kirkcaldy House.

One man aged 33 and four males aged 16 have been arrested and charged in connection.

They are due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court at a later date and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Five teenage boys have been charged in connection and will be reported to the relevant authorities.

Inspector Kim Stuart said: "We appreciate the concern this image has caused in the local community and want to reassure the public we are taking these matters very seriously.

“Further positive lines of enquiry remain ongoing to identify others involved and anyone with information should call 101 quoting reference 1948 of 13 December, 2025.”
