Man arrested and charged following drugs recovery in Dumfries

A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a drugs recovery in Dumfries.

Around 8.40am on Thursday, 11 December, 2025, officers executed a warrant at a property in Wellington Avenue.

Cocaine with an estimated street value of £12,500 was recovered.

The man is due to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court at a later date, and enquiries are ongoing.

Detective Sergeant Grant Drennan said: “Today’s result demonstrates our continued commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.

“Drugs cause misery in our communities, and the public has a vital role in helping us to trace those involved in the supply of illegal substances.
