Woman dies following crash in Paisley

A woman has died following a crash in Paisley.

The incident happened on Corsebar Road around 12.30pm on Tuesday 15 April, 2025 and involved a silver Kia Ceed which left the road and collided with a wall.

Emergency services attended and a 76-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car, a 78-year-old man, was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

The road was closed until around 6.25pm to allow for an investigation at the scene and has since fully reopened.

Sergeant Ally Wright said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman involved.

“Our investigation to establish the full circumstances is ongoing and I would urge anyone with information, or who may have dash-cam footage from the area, to get in touch.”

Anyone with information can call 101, quoting reference 1328 of 15 April 2025.
