Woman charged following the death of a man in Dundee

A 43-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the death of a 97-year-old man in Dundee.

On Monday, 15 April, 2024, police received a report of the assault and attempted robbery of a 97-year-old man at a property in Dryburgh Gardens. A woman was arrested and charged in connection with the incident and appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 17 April, 2024, when she was remanded in custody.

The victim received hospital treatment for his serious injuries and subsequently died on Saturday, 25 May, 2024.

Further enquiries were carried out and, as a result, the 43-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the man’s death. She is expected to reappear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Thursday, 19 September, 2024.
