Man who died following Ardrossan incident named as Stuart Kennedy

A 59-year-old man who died following an incident in Ardrossan can be named as Stuart Kennedy.

Officers were called to a report of a disturbance on Montgomerie Street around 8.15pm on Tuesday, 10 September, 2024. Emergency services attended and Stuart, of Ardrossan, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His relatives are aware and have asked that their privacy is respected.

A 24-year-old woman was also injured and taken to Crosshouse Hospital, Kilmarnock, for treatment.

A 40-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death and the attempted murder of a woman.

He was due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Thursday, 12 September, 2024.
