Cannabis cultivation worth £1.5 million discovered in Peterhead

Police Scotland officers discovered a cannabis cultivation estimated to be worth £1.5 million in Peterhead yesterday.
A search warrant was executed at a premises on Queen Street around midday on Wednesday, 18 September, 2024.
The large cannabis cultivation was discovered within and two men, aged 25 and 26, have been arrested and charged with drugs offences.
They are due to appear in Peterhead Sheriff Court today, Thursday, 19 September, 2024. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Detective Inspector Rory Campbell said: “Drugs cause misery in our communities and we will use all resources at our disposal to disrupt the drugs trade in Scotland.
“Information provided by the public is vital in helping us continue to do this.
“This significant recovery underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
