Appeal for information following serious crash in Glasgow

Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a serious crash in Glasgow. 

Around 12.05am on Monday, 2 September, 2024, officers were called to a report of a crash involving a car and a male pedestrian on the A77, Eglington Street, Glasgow. 

Emergency services attended and the 73-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where his condition is described as serious.

The 30-year-old male driver of the black Jeep Compass was not injured.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash.

Constable Stuart Tangny said: “I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.”
