Second man arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder and assault in Kirkwall, Orkney

A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a 38-year-old man and an assault on a 39-year-old woman on Burnmouth Road, Kirkwall, Orkney.

The incident took place on Tuesday, 15 October, 2024. The man and woman were both taken to hospital for treatment.

The 29-year old is due to appear at Kirkwall Sheriff Court on Monday, 21 October, 2024.

A report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.
