Man charged in connection with Union Street, Glasgow collision

A man has been charged in connection with a crash involving a taxi and four pedestrians in Glasgow. 
 
Emergency services were called to the collision on Union Street at the junction with Gordon Street around 1.50pm on Saturday, 5 October, 2024. 
 
Three female pedestrians, a 60-year-old and two aged 61, were taken to hospital for treatment. A 50-year-old woman was assessed by paramedics at the scene. 
 
The 62-year-old driver of the taxi was also treated in hospital. He has been charged in connection with road traffic offences and is due to appear in court at a later date.
