Man charged in connection with Oban drug recovery

A 44-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a Class A drug recovery Oban.

Around 3pm Wednesday, 23 October, 2024 officers searched a property on Longsdale Terrace in Oban. Cocaine with an estimated street value of around £4,700 was seized as well as over £1000 cash.

Officers later searched a premises in the Glencruitten area and recovered a further £24,000 cash.

The 44-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with drug offences. He is due to appear at Oban Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 13 November, 2024.

Detective Inspector Peter MacMillan said: "We are determined to protect the public from harmful criminality by disrupting sale of illegal substances, preventing them from being circulated on the streets of our community.
