Appeal for information following assault in Dumfries

Police in Dumfries are appealing for information and witnesses following the assault of a 32-year-old man in the Caul View area.

The incident took place around 3.40pm on Thursday, 31 October, 2024.

The victim was treated at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary.

Officers are keen to trace two males, who may be able to assist with the investigation.

The first is described as around 16-years-old, approximately 5ft 2, slim build, wearing a light-coloured hooded top or jacket, with the hood up.

The second is described as around 16-years-old, approximately 5ft 8, slim build, wearing a dark-coloured hooded top or jacket, with the hood up.

Detective Sergeant Kelly Douglas said: “We are appealing for anyone with information on the incident to please contact police on 101, quoting incident 2592 of 31 October, 2024. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
