Appeal for information following serious assault in Greenock

Detectives are appealing for information following a serious assault in Greenock.

The incident happened around 8.30pm on Friday, 22 November, 2024 in the East Shaw Street area.

A 41-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.

Detective Inspector Gordon Smith said: “Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this to contact us.

“We also ask anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time to come forward.”
