Appeal following vehicle break-ins and thefts in Aberdeen

Officers are appealing for information following a number of break-ins to vehicles in Aberdeen.

Overnight from Friday, 15 November, 2024, to Saturday, 16 November, 2024, eight vehicles on Northfield Place, Richmond Street and Kintore Place in the Rosemount area were targeted.

Entry was not gained to some of the vehicles, while small personal items were taken from others.

Officers are treating these incidents as linked and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

Detective Constable Lindsay Hellings said: “There have been a number of break-ins in the and our investigation is focusing on these potentially being linked.

“I’d urge anyone with information, or who has seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area, to come forward. I’m particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to remind people to ensure that vehicles are securely locked.”
