Two arrested following thefts in the Douglas area

Police in Lanarkshire have arrested and charged two men, aged 40 and 71, in connection with thefts from the Douglas area.

The thefts took place on Wednesday, 8 May, 2024

Following a positive line of enquiry, officers executed a search warrant at addresses in Rigside Road, Douglas Water on Thursday, 23 May, 2024.

A stolen oil tanker was recovered and a vehicle has been seized.

The men are due to appear at Lanark Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 19 June, 2024.
