Man arrested and charged in connection with death of Jack Trainner

A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of Jack Trainner in Port Glasgow.

Officers were called around 9.05pm on Saturday, 27 April, 2024, to a report of a man found seriously injured in Brookfield Road.

Emergency services attended and 27-year-old Jack Trainner was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 23-year-old man is due to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court tomorrow and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
