Man arrested and charged following fatal road crash in Giffnock

A 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences following a fatal road crash in Giffnock on Friday, 1 September, 2023.

Around 4.50pm a 73-year-old man was crossing Orchard Drive, at its junction with Fenwick Road, when he was struck by a bus.

Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 24-year-old man will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.
