Man arrested and charged in connection with Dundee attempted murder

A 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder in Dundee.

Around 12.35am on Tuesday, 9 July 2024, a 38-year-old man was found with serious injuries on Strathmartine Road. He was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital where he remains for treatment.

The 24-year-old is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Thursday, 11 July.

A 33-year-old man was also arrested in connection with the incident. He was released pending further enquiries.

Detective Chief Inspector Keith Duncan said: “I’d like to thank the local community for their help and patience during our investigations. There will continue to be a police presence in the area while our enquiries are ongoing, however I want to reassure the public there is no wider risk.”
