Drugs and Firearm Recovered – Glasgow

Drugs with a potential street value of over £290,000 and a firearm have been recovered in Glasgow.

On Friday, 28 June 2024, officers executed a search warrant at addresses in Lendel Place and Bankhall Street, Glasgow. Various Class A and B drugs, including cocaine and cannabis were seized. A firearm, ammunition and a five-figure sum of cash was also recovered.

Two men, aged 19 and 34 years were arrested and charged in connection with the incident. Both are due to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, 1 July, 2024.

Detective Sergeant James Kydd said: “Police Scotland is committed to removing illegal substances from our communities and will take all measures to disrupt those involved.

"This arrest underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
