Appeal following break-in and vandalism to nursery in Aboyne

Officers are appealing for information following break-ins to a nursery in the Bridgeview Road area of Aboyne.

It has been established that the incidents took place over both the weekends of 28-30 June and 5-7 July, 2024.

Significant damage was caused within the building and enquiries to identify the group responsible are ongoing.

PC Iona Johnson, of the Deeside Local Policing Team, said: “The antisocial behaviour of those responsible is unacceptable and they should be ashamed of themselves.

“Their actions have had a serious impact on the staff having to carry out extensive clean-up and repair work throughout the building.

“We are aware that a group of young people was seen in the area prior to the second break-in and are asking anyone with information, or who witnessed any suspicious activity, to please come forward.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting incident 3318 of 8 July, 2024. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
