Update - Crash involving car and pedestrian in Motherwell

Around 7.10pm on Monday, 16 December, 2024, police were called to a crash involving a pedestrian and a car on Windmillhill Street in Motherwell.

The pedestrian, a 51-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment where he remains in a serious condition.

The road was closed for around 11 hours while officers carried out enquiries and reopened around 6.20am on Tuesday, 17 December.

Enquiries remain ongoing and anyone who witnessed the incident or who can provide dash-cam footage which may assist is asked to contact police via 101 quoting incident number 3167 of 16 December, 2024.
