Man charged with serious assault following the death of a man in Wishaw

A 50-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault following the death of a man in Wishaw.

James McMaster, 53, was found within a flat in Maxton Crescent, Wishaw, at around 2.10pm on Thursday, 5 December, 2024.

The man is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday, 16 December, 2024.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and enquiries remain ongoing.
