Alistair Montague jailed for armed robbery and assault in Dundee

A 35-year-old man has been sentenced to six years and eight months in prison for offences including armed robbery and assault in Dundee.

Alistair Montague was jailed after a trial at the High Court in Glasgow on Tuesday, 3 December, 2024.

Montague pleaded guilty to three charges for offences that took place across two days in January 2024. During these robberies, he used a firearm and knife to threaten members of the public.

Detective Constable Paul Scott said: "Alistair Montague will now face the consequences of his despicable actions.

“Threatening behaviour and robbery will not be tolerated in our area and we will always work tirelessly to ensure that such offenders are brought before the courts.”
