Man assaulted in Greenock

Detectives are appealing for information following a serious assault in Greenock on Saturday, 3 August, 2024.

Around 11.30pm, a 42-year-old man was seriously assaulted within a pub on Ann Street.

The injured man attended Inverclyde Royal Hospital and was released after treatment.

The male suspect is described as being of Asian appearance, with a slim build and dark-coloured hair.

Detective Constable Rebecca Cox said: “Our inquiries are ongoing as we establish the details of this incident and trace the man responsible. We are continuing to study CCTV footage and I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone with personal footage that may assist us to contact us through 101 quoting reference number 0089 of 4 August.
