Appeal for information following assault in Irvine

Officers in Irvine are appealing for information following the assault of a 16-year-old male youth.

The incident happened around 4.05pm on Saturday, 10 June, 2023 at Irvine beach near the coastwatch building.

The 16-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment and was later released.

Detective Constable Lee Duncan said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone who witnessed the assault to get in touch.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 2596 of 10 June, 2023.”
