Police Scotland welcomes conviction of man in connection with death of woman in Helensburgh

A man has today, Wednesday, 3 August, been convicted in connection with the death of a 25-year-old woman in Helensburgh in April 2021.

Jacob Foster (pictured), aged 29, was convicted of culpable homicide at the High Court in Glasgow.

Chief Inspector Samantha Glasgow said: “This has been a distressing time for everyone involved. We welcome the conviction of Jacob Foster and hope that it brings some comfort to the family and friends of Charmaine O’Donnell who lost her life.”

Jacob Foster is due to be sentenced at a later date.
