Chief Constable statement – Deputy Chief Constable Will Kerr OBE

The Devon and Cornwall Police and Crime Commissioner Alison Hernandez has announced that Police Scotland Deputy Chief Constable Will Kerr OBE has been selected as her preferred candidate to become the next Chief Constable of Devon and Cornwall Police.

Chief Constable Sir Iain Livingstone QPM said: “Will has been an outstanding leader of local policing in Scotland. I am deeply grateful for all he has done for the Service and our fellow citizens during the last four years.

“Will has been instrumental in driving localism and our response to the pandemic and COP26.

“Strong relationships and co-operation across UK policing are vital to protecting the people of Scotland. I look forward to continuing to work with Will in his new role as a fellow Chief Constable.”
