Line Manager Support

Day to day management of people can be challenging. The EAP can offer support and guidance to help you in your role as a line manager.
The management consultancy service can provide guidance on how to approach difficult conversations, for example:

  • How to encourage an employee to call the Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Recognising the signs of psychological ill-health.
  • Tackling a performance issue or addressing an absence issue.
  • Delivering bad news.
  • Coping with change, such as merger or team restructure.

Counselling Support

Sometimes, daily life can seem full of challenges. So it's reassuring to know you have somewhere to turn when you need support. Whatever situation you are facing you can call for support from qualified practitioners. Just talking about the problem over the phone can feel like a huge step forward.

The counsellors can assist with a wide range of issues such as stress and anxiety, depression, bereavement or trauma related issues.

If it is appropriate for you, a series of counselling sessions with a named counsellor may be recommended. This can be delivered on a face to face basis or by telephone depending on a variety of factors and your personal preference. You can also access E-Counselling if you would prefer.
