Report a shoplifting incident

Call 999 if

  • someone's in danger
  • the incident is happening now
  • the suspect's still there

What this form is for

Use this form if:

  • the shop is in Scotland
  • something was stolen or someone tried to steal something
  • you saw it happen, or you're reporting for someone else who saw it

When to call 101

Call 101 to report the incident if:

  • it involved another offence (hate crime, threats, or assaults on staff)
  • you think someone involved may be under 12
