Report a shoplifting incident

When to report online

You can use our online form to report theft or attempted theft that happened at a retailer you work for.

This can be:

  • an incident you witnessed
  • a report on behalf of someone else

When to report by phone instead

Call 999 now if:

  • someone's in danger
  • the incident is happening now
  • the suspect's still there

You should call 101 if the incident has already happened but involved a crime other than theft. For example:

  • hate crime
  • assault
  • threats of violence
