Mental health support
If you have a mental health need or thoughts of self-harm, read our advice and learn how to get support
If you’re in danger or might cause yourself serious harm
If you’re in danger or might cause yourself serious harm, call 999. You’ll be asked which emergency service you need.
If it’s a medical emergency, ask for an ambulance.
If you ask for the police and it’s decided you do not need our support, then:
- there will be a risk assessment
- you may be referred to the NHS 24 Mental Health Hub
If it’s decided you need our support, officers will be sent to you.
