The is a way to find information about whether a person has committed child sex offences.
This information can help if you have a concern about a person being with or contacting a child. Legally, a child is anyone under 18 years old.
Anyone can make a sex offender community disclosure scheme application. However, only a parent, carer, or guardian of a child will receive the information we disclose.

When we’ll make a disclosure
We’ll assess the threat carefully and decide if we need to share information with the child’s parent, carer, or guardian to prevent child sexual offences.
Asking for someone else
If you’re making the application for someone else, we cannot make the disclosure to you. We can only make a disclosure to the parent, carer, or guardian of a child.
