Andrew Hendry is the Chief Digital and Information Officer.

His portfolio consists of the following business areas:

He is also the Senior Responsible Officer for

  • Digital Evidence Sharing Capability
  • Digitally Enabled Policing
  • Body Worn Video

  • Unified Communications & Contact Platform

CDIO Hendry’s early career was in enterprise systems and he moved into the Engineering sector with Mott MacDonald, before joining national house builder New City Vision as Group IT Manager.

He later spent time within the utilities sector as Group IT Manager for Energetics and then Head of IT & Business Capability at Gazprom Energy. He went on to fulfil the post of Global Director of Operations & IT at H Dawson Group.

Before he joined Police Scotland in 2019, he worked at Global Workforce Solutions provider, Fircroft Group in the role of Group Chief Information & Digital Officer where he was responsible for Transformation, Technology and the business's Global Operating Model.
