Director Carruthers is an accomplished HR professional with more than two decades of experience working globally and across the UK private sector in: retail, oil and gas, legal, financial services, mining technology sectors.

Caroline was previously Senior HR Director at Weir Group PLC and Aberdeen Investments PLC. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, combining strategic insight and people expertise with commercial acumen.

She has a BA Hons in Human Resource Management and is currently studying the Chief Human Resources Officer Programme at Cambridge Judge Business School.

Caroline is also a Board member of Cancer Research UK, Business Beats Cancer, and Executive Advisor to the Scottish HR Leadership group,

She joined Police Scotland in March 2026.
