Assistant Chief Constable - Local Policing East

Assistant Chief Constable Tim Mairs is the executive lead for Local Policing East.  ACC Mairs’ portfolio consists of the following business areas:

  • Edinburgh Division
  • Fife Division
  • Forth Valley Division
  • Lothian and Scottish Borders Division
  • Organisational Change
  • Acquisitive Crime
  • Vehicle Equipment Scottish
  • Police Memorial Trust
  • Museums
  • Pipe Band
  • LGBTI / Allies

ACC Mairs joined the Police Service of Northern Ireland in 2002 and held roles in local policing, headquarters and within the Crime Operations Department.

Latterly, he was a Temporary Assistant Chief Constable with PSNI, with responsibility for the Operational Support Department.

ACC Mairs joined Police Scotland in July 2020 in his current role, in which he is also force executive liaison for the Scottish Police Memorial Trust.
