Assistant Chief Constable Angela McLaren
ACC Angela McLaren started her career with Fife Constabulary in 1996 where she served in a number of operational and community roles up to the rank of Inspector. In 2009 she was seconded to the Association of Chief Police Officers Scotland (ACPOS) and on returning to Fife was promoted to Chief Inspector, serving as a Local Area Commander.
In 2013, she was appointed Project Manager for the Pathways to Policing Project at the Scottish Police College and, on promotion to Superintendent in 2014, was posted to D Division, Tayside, where she held various portfolios.
In 2015, she was promoted to Chief Superintendent and appointed Divisional Commander of Fife Division where she led various operations and events including T in the Park.
In October 2016, she was posted to Policing 2026 and was a lead in the production of the first long term strategy for policing in Scotland.
In June 2018 she was promoted to Assistant Chief Constable Operational Change and Resilience, including responsibility for the Demand & Productivity Programme, Strategic Design Authority and Strategic Workforce Planning. These key activities will support the organisation to deliver transformational change across the service.
As of June 2019, her role is Assistant Chief Constable - Organised Crime, Counter Terrorism and Intelligence.
