Area Commander Chief Inspector Stevie Sutherland is the Area Commander for the north west and is responsible for response policing, performance management and the daily management of personnel. North West Area Command This area stretches from the historic villages of Cramond and South Queensferry in the more rural west side running eastwards to the areas of Corstorphine, Stockbridge and Trinity. Housing throughout is a mix of social and privately owned properties. The area boasts Scotland's busiest airport, two busy shopping centres, the Gyle and Craigleith Retail Park, and also the world renowned Murrayfield Stadium where the national rugby team plays. Your Priorities We are acting on priorities to influence policing activity in your area. For more information you can visit the Multi Member Ward plans in your local pages. Locality Improvement Plans With our partners, we have asked individuals and community groups for their views on local priorities and services. Using that feedback, we have worked together to develop four Locality Improvement Plans for 2017 to 2022. The Edinburgh Partnership endorsed these plans on 7 December 2017. You can read more information and download the full plans on the City of Edinburgh Council’s website.
